IVidea was formed in 2004 with the mission to provide business intelligence solutions and consulting services to executives and managers of enterprises above 50 Million in annual revenue. In January of 2005, Q4bis, Inc., a Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Software Company, awarded IVidea the US exclusive sales rights for their suite of software products. IVidea generated approximately 2.5 Million dollars in software and service revenue in their first year for Q4bis in 2005. In early 2006, IVidea modified its strategy and decided to brand its own name while adding an “On Demand Business Intelligence” offering to the portfolio similar to the business model of Salesforce.com in the CRM space.  IVidea spent several months searching the technology landscape for Internet based solutions that were ideal for the executive user.    The solutions needed to be Internet based, support XML and Microsoft OLAP and needed to be scalable enough to support high volume user base in an offsite hosted environment. 

 

During the extended search, IVidea realized the tremendous lack of  solutions in the market that match the stringent search criteria for an executive non-technical user.   After several product evaluations IVidea in April of 2006 came to an agreement with a Research & Development company based out of Tel Aviv, that had been developing among others the industry standard OLAP technologies for Microsoft and the front end analytics technologies for Cognos.  IVidea negotiated the rights to sell this exciting technology in the US market while utilizing the technology for ASP “On Demand” solutions for a revenue share.
